Audiovisual media: Locations and risk assessment

All of our filming will be taken place on the school premises because we would like to use a location that the audience can relate to in order to appeal to the wider audience. Different parts of the school will be used to reinforce that it is in the school and to also add some excitement to the opening rather than having it in just one place, this allows us to have a diverse amount of scenes. The location is important and effects the film because it needs to be relevant to the target audience.

Risk assessment

Classroom:
Make sure people don't trip over the chairs and tables or any loose wires there may be. I will all chairs are tucked into the tables unless they are being used for filming, and also to make sure there are no loose wires around the room.

Front of school:
Make sure people don't slip in icy or wet conditions by filming in better weather conditions. Making sure there is nothing that could possible be tripped over by one of the characters. Ensure nobody is messing around with props.

Toilets/Bathroom:
Must make sure there is nobody in the toilets beforehand and must make sure there are no spillages or anything that could possibly be tripped over.

Playground:
Ensure that the actor is happy and confident about shooting basketball. Make sure there is nothing to trip on and that weather conditions are safe. Make sure sufficient clothing is being worn such as trainers. Try to avoid concrete.
